Request for Proposal: National Youth Summit on Maker

The National 4‑H Conference Center invites you to submit a proposal to conduct a workshop during the National 4‑H Youth Summit Series for Maker at the National 4‑H Conference Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland. For the school year 2018-2019, the Maker Summit will have the following theme:

“Make A Difference With Maker”

Workshops provide students a place to gain information in specific subject areas to increase knowledge, help inspire career paths and help participants to create action plans to implement in their communities to teach other youth about what they have learned when they return home. Youth and adults working together is a powerful method to share information and bring about positive outcomes in their home states. Interested youth and adult teams have an opportunity to submit a proposal for the NYS on Maker by September 14, 2018.

The target audience are youth in grades 9–12, and each 50-minute workshop will have an average of 15 – 30 participants. It is highly recommended that workshops include a 15-minute, hands-on activity as part of the session plus handouts/outlines for participants to take home.
